Steven the Cat

This lovely lad was commissioned as a gift for a friend's pet. I was given numerous different references, none of which really worked as a great reference standalone, so I did a lot of work to composite the references to create a posture I thought would be more regal and fitting for a portrait. I had a lot of challenges with trying to pull out the depth from such light fur as well as recreating the soft texture of the fur, but overall I had a ton of fun with this. I would love to do more pet portraits in the future!
